What are everyday questions you might ask?

What is better about a rock drainfield?

A rock drainfield has multiple gaps which allows for proper draining and removal of debris.  This prevents a sediment layer forming, requiring a replacement of the drainfield. With a rock drainfield, they can last between 20-50 years.

What is the cost difference?

The normal cost difference is around $1200 to $1500 on average more than with infiltrator drainfields.

How long have rock drainfields been around?

Rock drainfields have been around since the removal and later ban of outhouses and are still around to this day.

Whats the avgerage lifespan of a rock drainfield?

The longest recorded is 62 years, which, dont get me wrong, is a very long time.

What makes rock drainfields better then chambers?

Short and to the point, rock has been proven time and time again. Chambers have failed time and time again

How long have chambers been around?

12 to 15 yrs

How long do chambers last?

On record we dont know. Average so far is 8 to 10 years.

Why do houses have mounds in the yard?

Because of the seasonal high water table which is determinded by water table strippings within the soils.  These high water tables require a mound system to be installed, creating the "mound" system.  The higher the water table, the further out of the ground the system must be.  These systems include the use of pump chambers, pumps, and alarms to control the flow of the septic water into the drainfield.

How long do I have before I need to clean my tank?

As per the local health department and I, we ask that you try to pump them every 3 to 5 years depending on how many people live in the house.  This maintains a clean tank, and the risk of your drainfield failing lower.

What sets you as a young contractor apart from other contractors?

I have 18 years of experience working in the septic business. I learned at a young age, working with my father, a great teacher, who has been in the septic business for almost 40 years. I believe that honesty, on every job, is the upmost important thing. If you call, I will come assess the problems and offer you my diagnosis. I am also the only contractor that does rock drainfields and chambers.  I will provide quality work with reasonable rates.

Are you licensed and insured?
